Vanessa Florentino-Solano - 6th Grade
My name is Vanessa Florentino-Solano, and I am the 6th-grade School Counselor at Creekland Middle School. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Monroe College. I worked in the classroom for the New York City Department of Education with students with special needs. From this experience, I decided to pursue a degree that would allow me to positively impact the lives of every child I will have the opportunity to work with. I graduated with a Master of Education in School Counseling from Merrimack College in Massachusetts. As a School Counselor, my primary responsibility is to promote all students' academic, career, and social/emotional development. It is important to me to work closely with parents/guardians, teachers, administration, and all school staff to ensure students receive the support they need to guide them during their middle school journey.

Anika Griffin - 8th Grade
Hello, my name is Anika Griffin, and I am the 8th grade Academy Counselor. My career in education spans over 20 years. I have served in the role of educator and now as a professional school counselor. I received a Masters of Education in School Counseling in 2021 from the University of West Alabama and I obtained a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Central Michigan University in 2006. As a school counselor, I am here to support students in their academic, social-emotional, and career development. I believe in creating a safe and inclusive environment where students can explore their interests, passions, and goals. Additionally, I work closely with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure that students receive the necessary support and resources to succeed. I am dedicated to helping students overcome any obstacles they may face by providing accessible resources, guidance, and support.
