Car Rider Information

Car Rider Procedures- Car rider drop off is from 8:50 am - 9:05 am

  • To minimize the car rider line backing up onto Russell road and to maintain safety, the car rider line will wrap along the side of the school.

  • Parents are expected to drop off and pick up students in the back of the school along the curb near the lower gym.. Staff will direct vehicle movement and the unloading or loading of students.

  • Students should not exit vehicles in other areas of the parking lot unless accompanied by a parent.

Morning Drop-Off:

  • If your child is attending study hall, tutoring, intramurals, or any other club/activity, they may be dropped off between 8:00–8:15 AM. Drop-off takes place at the back of the school along the curb near the lower gym. There is no student entry through the front doors until 8:50 AM. 

  • Any student arriving between 8:15–8:50 AM must remain in their vehicle until the 8:50 AM bell.

  • Pull up to the drop-off sign before letting your child out of the car in the morning.

  • Be sure your child is prepared to quickly exit the car when you come to a complete stop.

  • Only turn right out of the parking lot to keep traffic moving.

  • Only let your child out of the car in designated drop-off locations (not the general parking lot).

  • After 9:20 AM, please park and check your child in as tardy in the front office.

Study Hall Expectations: Study hall is available for students needing a quiet place to read, study, or work independently starting at 8:00 AM each day. Students attending clubs, tutoring, or other activities will be dismissed with a pass or picked up by their teacher at 8:15 AM. Students not dismissed at 8:15 AM may remain in study hall until 8:50 AM when homeroom transitions begin.

  • Study hall is for quiet reading, studying, or independent work—not socializing.

  • Students must show respect for the space, remain seated, and follow directions from staff members.

  • Students not following guidelines may be redirected.

Afternoon Car Pick-Up:

  • Students will be dismissed at 4:05 PM for car riders  through the lower gym doors under adult supervision.

  • Communicate with your child at 4:05 PM regarding your position in the car rider line.

  • Be sure to have your car rider number so that we can safely release your child to an approved pick up person as identified by the car rider tag.

  • Pull all the way forward before stopping to let your child into the vehicle.

  • Follow the directions of the car rider staff for overflow waiting to ensure that our buses are able to exit the parking lot.
