Soccer

Girls Soccer tryouts will begin on November 30, 2026. All students in grades 6-8 are eligible to try out.

Before participating in tryouts, all athletes must:

• Have a current physical on file.
• Complete all required athletic paperwork.
• Upload all required documents to Rank One prior to tryouts.

• Be officially cleared before participating.

• Student-athletes are not permitted to remain after school for tryouts unless they have been cleared through Rank One.

Preparing for Tryouts

We encourage all students interested in trying out to begin preparing early by:

• Running regularly to build endurance and stamina.
• Practicing soccer skills and drills.

• Maintaining an active fitness routine.

• Tryouts will be 3-4 days

Athletes should arrive at tryouts with:

• Appropriate athletic clothing
• Proper athletic shoes/cleats
• Shin guards and any other necessary soccer equipment

The season's first official practice is scheduled for January 19. Team practices will take place two afternoons per week after school. Practice days and times will be announced and shared with players and family's at the mandatory parent and student meeting.

Games and Parent Meeting

Additional information regarding practice/ game schedule will be shared once the team has been selected. A mandatory parent and student meeting will be held after team selection to review expectations, dues, schedules, and season information.

Academic and Behavioral Expectations

Student athletes are expected to represent Creekland Middle School with pride both on and off the field.

To participate, students must:

• Meet all academic eligibility requirements.
• Maintain satisfactory grades throughout the season.
• Demonstrate positive behavior and avoid disciplinary referrals.
• Follow school and team expectations at all times.
